Architecture Week
Space Syntax is hosting two exciting events as part of Architecture Week 2007.
Event 1
Wednesday 20th June at 18:00
Venue – Space Syntax office
Spatial Interactions
The basis of Space Syntax's approach to planning and design is that the layout of space and location of attractors in space have profound effects on human activity. Movement patterns, land use effectiveness and, ultimately, energy consumption are each affected by spatial planning and design decisions.
With the theme of this year's Architecture Week being sustainability, we have brought together three speakers - from academia, the public sector and the private sector - who will each present a brief view on the importance of linking spatial thinking with sustainable practice.
Speakers
Ruth Conroy-Dalton, The Bartlett, UCL
Jim Walker, Chair Walk21, The Access Company
Anna Rose, Space Syntax Limited
Event 2
Thursday 21st June from 17:00 to 19:00
Friday 22nd June from 17:00 to 19:00
Venue – Space Syntax office
Interactive Installations
Space Syntax is hosting an exhibition of interactive installations from students of the Adaptive Architecture and Computation course at the Bartlett, UCL, dealing with the human experience of space.
